Two month workshop with a small group of boys and girls from the Jenin refugee camp, culminating in a book of photo stories called Refuge. Equipment funded by Austcare and facilitated by The Freedom Theatre.
East Timor
Professional workshop
Over a period of three years, Wend worked with a core group of local photojournalist; holding workshops, assisting in establishing the Timor Leste Photographers Association (TiLPA) and securing $20,000USD of grants for professional photographic equipment and computers.
Nigeria
Professional workshop
One month workshop with senior Nigerian photojournalists, co-ordinated by Washington based media development NGO, Internews.
Photojournalism workshops
Wend has facilitated photography workshops for both professionals and youth in developing countries and conflict nations.
